Getting There

    To reach Cherni Vrah using public transport from Sofia, take the Sofia Metro to Vitosha station. From there, take bus number 63 to Dragalevtsi. Get off at the Dragalevtsi lift station and take the chairlift to Aleko Hut. From Aleko Hut, follow the marked hiking trails to Cherni Vrah, which takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. A single metro and bus fare is 1.60 BGN (approximately 0.80 EUR). A return ticket for the lift is currently priced at 20lv (10 EUR).

    If driving from Sofia, head towards Vitosha Mountain and follow A3 to Dragalevtsi. Look for signs for Vitosha Nature Park and park at the Dragalevtsi lift station. Parking fees may apply. Take the chairlift from the lift station to Aleko Hut. From Aleko Hut, follow the marked hiking trails to Cherni Vrah, about a 1 to 1.5-hour hike. Parking options are available near Cherni Vrah Blvd. Some paid parking lots are available nearby, and free parking is available above Paradise Center. There is no information about parking costs at the Dragalevtsi lift station.
