Car
If you are driving, start from Sofia and take the ring road towards Vitosha Mountain. Follow signs for Vitosha and then to the Aleko area, where you will find a parking lot at the base of the mountain. From the Aleko parking area, head towards the ski lift that leads to the Vitosha ski resort. Park your car in the designated parking areas (note that parking fees may apply, typically around 5-10 BGN for the day). After parking, you can either take the lift or hike up to reach the Kom Peak trailhead.

Public Transportation
To reach Vitosha Mountain via public transportation, take the metro line M1 to the 'Vitosha' station. From there, catch bus number 122 or 64, which will take you to the Aleko area at the base of the mountain. The bus fare is approximately 1.60 BGN. Once you arrive at Aleko, you can walk to the ski lift or directly to the hiking trails that lead to Kom Peak.

Once you are at the Aleko area, if you choose to hike, follow the marked trails towards Kom Peak. The most popular route starts from the Aleko chalet and follows the yellow trail markers. It is approximately a 1.5 to 2-hour hike to reach the peak. Be sure to bring adequate hiking gear, water, and snacks, as there are no facilities on the mountain.
