From the entrance of Kigwena National Reserve, take the main road leading towards Kasekera. Follow the road for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the sign for Kakombe Waterfall. Turn left onto the dirt path that leads towards the waterfall. Be cautious as the road can be uneven. After about 2 kilometers, you will find a parking area near the waterfall. Please note that there may be a small parking fee.

From the entrance of Kigwena National Reserve, you can take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Kasekera. Inform the driver that you are going to Kakombe Waterfall. The journey should take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the drop-off point, follow the dirt path for about 2 kilometers to reach the waterfall. Always ask locals for directions if you're unsure.

If you prefer to walk from within Kigwena National Reserve, take the main trail leading out towards the entrance. Once you reach the main road, head towards Kasekera. It is approximately a 15-kilometer walk. After reaching the sign for Kakombe Waterfall, follow the dirt path for another 2 kilometers to arrive at the waterfall.
