From the center of Bururi, head southeast on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection near the post office. Turn left onto Avenue des Martyrs and follow this road for about 1 kilometer. You will pass by several local shops and small eateries. After reaching the junction with the R.N.15 road, turn right. Continue along the R.N.15 for approximately 5 kilometers. Look out for local signage that indicates the Gishora Drum Sanctuary. As you approach, you will see a sign for the sanctuary on your left-hand side. The sanctuary is located at the address JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15, Gishora.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Bururi. Start at the central square and take Avenue de l'Indépendance heading southeast. Keep cycling straight to the intersection near the post office, then turn left onto Avenue des Martyrs. Continue for about 1 kilometer.
