Getting There

    From the center of Bururi town, head towards Avenue de la Réunification. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn left onto Avenue de l'Indépendance and continue walking until you see the sign for the Gakungwe area. Follow the signs towards Gakungwe, which will lead you through local neighborhoods and scenic views. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the main road leading to Ramba. Continue walking straight for another 2 kilometers until you see the turn-off to G993. The Livingston-Stanley Monument is located approximately 500 meters down G993 on your left.

  • Bicycle

    Starting from the Bururi Market, rent a bicycle and head south on Avenue de la Réunification. Cycle straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction with Avenue de l'Indépendance. Turn left and continue cycling for about 3 kilometers until you reach the Gakungwe signs. Follow the signs, cycling for another 2 kilometers until you reach G993. The Livingston-Stanley Monument will be located about 500 meters down G993 on your left.

    In Bururi town, find a motorcycle taxi (known locally as 'moto'). Inform the driver that you want to go to the Livingston-Stanley Monument in Ramba.
