From Imbo Plain, head towards the main road leading out of the area. You will want to take the Route Nationale 3 (RN3) towards Bujumbura. Follow the RN3 for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Busiga. Once in Busiga, look for signs directing you to Kibira National Park. The entrance is located at coordinates 2G22+225. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as there may not be many gas stations along this route.

Public Transportation
To reach Kibira National Park by public transport, take a local bus or shared taxi from Imbo Plain to Bujumbura. Once you arrive in Bujumbura, switch to a bus that is heading towards Busiga. The fare for the bus from Imbo Plain to Bujumbura is usually around 2,000 BIF, and from Bujumbura to Busiga, it will be about 1,500 BIF. After reaching Busiga, you can either walk to the park entrance (approximately 3 km) or hire a local taxi for a short ride to the entrance coordinates 2G22+225.

For the adventurous, if you are already in the vicinity of Kibira National Park, you can hike from Busiga directly to the park entrance. This option requires good physical fitness and proper gear as the trail can be steep and rugged.
