Walking
Start at the center of Kayanza, near the local market. Head northeast on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue des Sports. Turn left onto Avenue des Sports and keep walking until you reach the junction with R.N.15. This should take about 20-30 minutes. Once you reach R.N.15, you can either ask a local for directions to Gishora Drum Sanctuary, which is located on JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15, or continue walking along R.N.15 for approximately 1 kilometer. The sanctuary will be on your left.
Public Transport (Bus/Shared Taxi)
From the center of Kayanza, head to the main bus station. Look for buses or shared taxis heading towards Gishora. The fare is usually affordable, around 500 BIF. Inform the driver that you want to go to Gishora Drum Sanctuary. The journey should take about 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Gishora, you may need to ask locals for the exact location of the sanctuary, which is situated on R.N.15, JWPC+VQ4.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from the center of Kayanza and ride towards R.N.15. Follow Avenue de l'Indépendance and then Avenue des Sports until you reach R.N.15. Once there, turn left and cycle for about 1 kilometer. You will see signs leading to Gishora Drum Sanctuary on your left. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.
