    From the center of Kirundo, head south towards Avenue du 1er Novembre. Walk straight along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards Gishora. Continue on this path for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass local shops and small houses along the way. As you approach Gishora, look for signs indicating Gishora Drum Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located near JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15, which is just off the main road.

  • Bicycle

    If you are renting a bicycle, start from the main square in Kirundo and cycle south along Avenue du 1er Novembre. After about 1.5 kilometers, take the left fork at the road junction towards Gishora. Continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you to the Gishora Drum Sanctuary. The sanctuary will be situated off the main road near the coordinates JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15.

    Catch a 'moto-taxi' from the main square in Kirundo. Inform the driver that you’re going to Gishora Drum Sanctuary. The ride should take around 10 to 15 minutes. The driver will take you along Avenue du 1er Novembre and then onto the road leading to Gishora. Be sure to mention the coordinates JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15 when you arrive in Gishora so that they know exactly where to drop you off.
