From the center of Kirundo, head south towards Avenue du 1er Novembre. Walk straight along this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork towards Gishora. Continue on this path for approximately 2 kilometers. You will pass local shops and small houses along the way. As you approach Gishora, look for signs indicating Gishora Drum Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located near JWPC+VQ4, R.N.15, which is just off the main road.

If you are renting a bicycle, start from the main square in Kirundo and cycle south along Avenue du 1er Novembre. After about 1.5 kilometers, take the left fork at the road junction towards Gishora.
