Walking
If you are in central Bujumbura, start at the Avenue du Large, which is a main thoroughfare. Head southwest towards Avenue de la République and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue des États-Unis. Turn left onto Avenue des États-Unis and continue walking until you reach a large roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue des Moussaillons. Follow this avenue until you see the sign for Kaya's Public Garden. The entrance is located at J988+J7V, which is marked clearly. The garden should be on your left. Walking is free.
Public Transport
Minibuses are a common form of public transport in Bujumbura. From the city center, look for a minibus heading in the direction of the garden. Ask the driver to drop you off near Kaya's Public Garden (J988+J7V). From the drop-off point, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the garden entrance. A short trip costs approximately 300-500 Burundi Francs.
Taxi/Ride-Share
Taxis are available in Bujumbura. You can find them in the city center or book one through a local ride-sharing service. Provide the driver with the address: J988+J7V, Bujumbura, and they will take you directly to the garden.
