From Mugamba, head northeast on the main road (Route Nationale 1) towards Gitega. Continue for about 20 kilometers until you reach the junction to Musenyi. Turn left onto the road leading to Musenyi, which should be well signposted. Drive for approximately 10 kilometers, and you will arrive in Musenyi. Look for the coordinates 3RMQ+W4X on your GPS, which will lead you directly to the Source Du Nil. The journey takes around 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

Public Transportation (Bus)

From Mugamba, find the local bus station and take a bus heading towards Gitega. The fare is usually around 1,000 BIF (Burundian Francs). Notify the driver of your destination, Musenyi, so they can drop you off at the right stop. After arriving in Musenyi, you may need to walk or take a motorcycle taxi to the coordinates 3RMQ+W4X. Be prepared to negotiate the taxi fare, which typically ranges from 1,500 to 3,000 BIF.

Motorcycle Taxi (Boda Boda)

Once you are in Musenyi, look for motorcycle taxis (locally known as Boda Boda). You can find them near the bus stop. Agree on a fare before starting your ride to Source Du Nil at 3RMQ+W4X. The fare for a short ride should be around 1,500 to 2,500 BIF. Ensure you have a helmet and buckle up before the ride begins.
