Getting There

Car
Start in the center of Mugamba, and head south on the main road (Route Nationale 6) towards Nyarumanga. Continue for about 15 km until you reach the village of Nyarumanga. Once you arrive in Nyarumanga, follow the signs for Mount Heha, which is located to the northwest of the village. The road may become less maintained, so drive carefully. There are no entrance fees for accessing the mountain, but ensure your vehicle is in good condition for the rough terrain.

Public Transportation (Bus/Shared Taxi)
From Mugamba, locate the bus station or shared taxi stand. Take a shared taxi or bus heading to Nyarumanga. The fare should be around 1,000 BIF per person. The journey will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive in Nyarumanga, you may need to hire a motorcycle taxi (known locally as a 'boda-boda') for around 2,000 BIF to take you closer to the base of Mount Heha. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand.
