Walking
From the center of Muyinga, head south on Avenue du 28 Novembre towards Avenue de la République. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit at the roundabout onto Route Nationale 6. Walk for approximately 3 km until you reach the fork in the road. Here, take the left path leading towards the Colline Mwijanda area. Continue walking for another 2 km, following signs or asking locals for directions to Gasuma. The valley should be visible as you approach, and you may need to walk through local trails to reach the specific viewpoint.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Muyinga. Start your journey by cycling south on Avenue du 28 Novembre. After about 1 km, turn onto Route Nationale 6. Cycle for approximately 3 km until you reach the fork, then take the left path towards Colline Mwijanda. Continue cycling for another 2 km, keeping an eye out for signs to Gasuma valley. You may need to dismount and walk on local trails to get the best views of the valley.
Local Transport (Bicycle Taxi)
Find a local bicycle taxi in Muyinga. Tell the driver you want to go to Gasuma valley near Colline Mwijanda. They will likely take you south on Avenue du 28 Novembre. After about 1 km, they'll turn onto Route Nationale 6. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you reach the fork in the road, ask the driver to take the left path towards Colline Mwijanda. From there, you may need to walk for a short distance to reach the valley.
