Car
Starting from the center of Karusi, head southeast on Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue straight for about 2.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route Nationale 15 (R.N.15). Turn left onto R.N.15 and continue for approximately 7 kilometers. You will see signs directing you to Gishora. As you approach the village of Gishora, keep an eye out for the signs indicating the Gishora Drum Sanctuary. The sanctuary will be located on your left. There is no entrance fee, but donations are appreciated.

From the center of Karusi, find the local bus station and take a bus heading towards Gishora. Buses typically leave frequently throughout the day. The fare is usually around 500 Burundian Francs. Inform the driver of your destination. The bus will drop you off at a stop close to Gishora Drum Sanctuary. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the sanctuary. Follow the main road, and you will see signs leading you to the sanctuary entrance.
