Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the center of Muyinga, at the main market (Marché de Muyinga). Head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Avenue du 1er Novembre. Turn left and continue walking for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route de Ruvubu. Follow this road for about 7 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. You will eventually reach a sign indicating the entrance to Ruvubu National Park. The entrance is clearly marked, and you will have to walk a short distance from the entrance to the main park area.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Muyinga. Begin your journey at the main market (Marché de Muyinga) and head south on Avenue de l'Indépendance. After about 500 meters, turn left onto Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue for about 1 kilometer to reach the roundabout, where you will take the second exit onto Route de Ruvubu. Cycle for approximately 7 kilometers, enjoying the beautiful countryside. Keep an eye out for the entrance to Ruvubu National Park, which will be well-marked. Once you reach the entrance, you may need to lock your bike and walk a short distance into the park.
