  • Walking

    Start from the center of Ngozi, at the main market area (known as 'Marché de Ngozi'). Head southeast on Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left fork onto Avenue de l'Indépendance. Follow this road for another 500 meters until you see a sign for 'Ruhororo'. Turn right onto this road and continue for about 2 kilometers. The road will wind slightly and you will pass through a few local neighborhoods. After 2 kilometers, look for a path on your left leading up a small hill. This path will take you directly to the Lake Rweru Viewpoint, which is marked by a sign. The viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of Lake Rweru and the surrounding area.

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ngozi. Begin your journey from the main square of Ngozi, heading southeast on Avenue du 1er Novembre. After approximately 1 kilometer, take the left fork onto Avenue de l'Indépendance. Ride for about 2 kilometers, passing through local neighborhoods. When you reach the sign for 'Ruhororo', turn right. Continue for 2 kilometers on this winding road. You will see a path to your left leading up a hill. Follow this path to reach Lake Rweru Viewpoint, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the lake.

    From your location in Ngozi, find a nearby Boda Boda (motorbike taxi) driver. Tell them you want to go to Lake Rweru Viewpoint. They will take you southeast on Avenue du 1er Novembre. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach a fork in the road; the driver will take the left fork onto Avenue de l'Indépendance. They will continue for about 2 kilometers until reaching a sign for 'Ruhororo'. They will then turn right and continue for another 2 kilometers. Finally, you will arrive at the path leading to the viewpoint. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they know the location to ensure a smooth ride.
