Car
If you are driving from São Filipe, take the main road towards the east and follow the signs to Ribeira da Barca. After approximately 20 km, you will reach the town. Once in Ribeira da Barca, look for signs directing you to Gruta de Aguas Belas. The grotto is located just outside the town, approximately 3 km away. You can park your car near the entrance, where you will find some local vendors and guides who can assist you.

To reach Gruta de Aguas Belas using public transport, take a 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) from São Filipe to Ribeira da Barca. These taxis leave regularly from the main taxi stand in São Filipe and the fare is usually around 100 CVE per person. Upon arrival in Ribeira da Barca, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest point to Gruta de Aguas Belas. It is about a 15-minute walk from the center of town to the grotto. Follow the path signs leading you towards the grotto.
