Car
From Praia Baixo, head east on the main road. Continue straight for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction near the beach. At the junction, turn left onto the road that leads towards the coast. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you see signs for Farol da Ponta Preta. The lighthouse will be visible from the road, and there is a small parking area nearby where you can leave your car.
Public Transportation
From Praia Baixo, take a local minibus (known as 'aluguer') heading towards the nearby town of Espargos. The fare is usually around 1-2 euros. Once you arrive in Espargos, transfer to another minibus that goes to the coast, specifically towards Farol da Ponta Preta. The total travel time may take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on the waiting times for transfers. Be sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to the lighthouse.
Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and prefer to walk, you can take the coastal path from Praia Baixo to Farol da Ponta Preta. This walk is approximately 8 kilometers and offers stunning views of the ocean. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path can be rocky in places. The walk should take about 2 hours, and you will need to navigate along the coastline until you reach the lighthouse.
