To reach Pelourinho via public transportation, take a local 'aluguer' (shared taxi) from Praia do Tarrafal to Cidade Velha. The fare typically ranges from 100 to 200 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo). Once you arrive in Cidade Velha, you can either walk to Pelourinho, which is about a 10-minute walk, or you can ask the driver to drop you off as close to Pelourinho as possible.
