If you are in the city center of Praia, start at Praça Alexandre de Almeida, a central square. From the square, head south on Avenida 5 de Julho, which is the main road. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Rua 1 de Junho. Turn left onto Rua 1 de Junho and continue until you reach the intersection with Rua 5 de Julho. Turn right onto Rua 5 de Julho and walk for about 500 meters. You will see Estátua de Diogo Gomes on your left, near the entrance of the National Museum of Cape Verde.
