Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at the central square of Assomada, Praça da Igreja. Head southwest on Rua do Comércio, passing local shops and cafes. After about 300 meters, you'll reach the intersection with Rua da Liberdade. Turn left onto Rua da Liberdade and continue for another 400 meters until you see the main road, Avenida Amílcar Cabral. Cross the road carefully and continue straight for approximately 600 meters. You'll notice the local bus station on your left. Keep walking straight until you reach the main junction with the road leading towards Praia.

    At the junction, follow the signs towards Praia. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will come to a bus stop. From here, you can choose to take a local 'aluguer' (shared taxi) to Praia or continue walking. If you decide to walk, take the road that leads you directly into Praia, which is about 4 kilometers from this point.

    Once you arrive in Praia, navigate towards the area known as Platô. From the main bus station, head towards Avenida 5 de Julho.
