Getting There

Walking
Start from the center of Sal Rei, near the main square (Praça de Sal Rei). Head south on Avenida Jorge Barbosa, which is the main road through town. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the fork in the road at the roundabout. Take the second exit towards Ponta Adiante. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers, enjoying the coastal views along the way. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Praia da Atalanta. As you approach Ponta Adiante, you will see the beach on your right. Follow the path leading to the beach area, and you will arrive at Praia da Atalanta.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sal Rei. Start from the rental location and head towards Avenida Jorge Barbosa. Cycle south on this main road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit towards Ponta Adiante and continue on this road for around 2 kilometers. The route is mostly flat and offers scenic views of the coastline. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Praia da Atalanta. As you get closer to Ponta Adiante, the beach will be visible on your right. Follow the path leading down to the beach, and you will reach Praia da Atalanta.
