Car
From Santa Maria Beach, head northeast on the main road (Rua 15 de Agosto) towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua do Centro. Follow this road until you reach the junction where you turn left onto the main road (EN1-SV1). Continue on this road for approximately 15 minutes, keeping an eye out for signs leading to Morro de Areia Nature Reserve. You will need to turn right onto a smaller road marked by a sign for the reserve. The reserve is located at coordinates 33J3+GHV, Provoacao Velha. Parking is available near the entrance.

Public Transportation
To reach Morro de Areia Nature Reserve via public transportation, you can catch a 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) from Santa Maria Beach. Look for Alugueres heading toward Pavoacao Velha. The fare is typically around 3-5 Cape Verdean Escudos (CVE) per person. Ask the driver to drop you off at Provoacao Velha. From the drop-off point, it's a short walk to the entrance of the Morro de Areia Nature Reserve, about 500 meters. Be prepared for some walking on uneven terrain, and make sure to check the return schedule for Alugueres to avoid being stranded.
