Getting There

• Walking from Sal Rei

  Start your journey in Sal Rei, the capital of Boa Vista. Head south towards the main road (Avenida 5 de Setembro). Continue walking along this road until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the road signposted towards Praia das Dunas. Follow this road for approximately 3 kilometers. You will pass by local homes and a few small shops along the way. As you approach Praia das Dunas, you will notice the landscape changing to sand dunes on either side. Continue straight until you reach the beach entrance.

• Public Transport (Shared Taxi)

  From Sal Rei, head to the shared taxi (also known as 'aluguer') station located near the town square. Look for a shared taxi heading towards Praia das Dunas. These taxis are usually marked, and the fare is very affordable. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes. Inform the driver that you want to go to Praia das Dunas. When you arrive, you will be dropped off at the main entrance area of the beach.
