If you're traveling by car, start your journey by getting onto I-80 E from your location in the Bay Area. Depending on where you're starting from, you may need to follow local roads to reach the interstate. Once on I-80 E, continue for about 10 miles. Take exit 23 for University Ave toward Berkeley. At the exit, turn left onto University Ave and continue for about 1.5 miles until you reach Claremont Blvd. Turn right onto Claremont Blvd, and Monkey Island will be on your left. Public Transportation
To reach Monkey Island using public transportation, you can take BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) to the Berkeley station. From the Berkeley station, board the AC Transit Bus 9 or 15, which will take you towards Claremont Blvd. Get off at the Claremont Blvd & College Ave stop, and from there, it's a short walk to Monkey Island. Make sure to check the AC Transit website for current schedules and any fare costs; typically, a one-way fare is around $2.50.
Bicycle
