    From Berkeley, walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station located at 2140 Shattuck Ave. Take the Richmond line towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Montgomery St. station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the intersection of Montgomery St. and California St. It will take you about 10 minutes to reach Old St. Mary's Cathedral at 660 California St.

    Head to the nearest bus stop and catch the AC Transit bus 51B towards San Francisco. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop at 7th St. and Market St. From there, walk 5 minutes to California St. and then 3 more minutes to reach Old St. Mary's Cathedral at 660 California St.

  • Bicycle

    If you're comfortable biking, rent a bike from a local bike share program. Start from your location in Berkeley and follow the bike lane on University Ave heading west. Continue to the pedestrian bridge at the marina, cross the bridge, and follow the bike path to connect to the Embarcadero.
