From there, transfer to the MUNI bus #39 Coit Tower. After a short ride, get off at the Coit Tower stop. Follow the signs to Coit Tower, which is a short walk uphill.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can walk to Coit Tower from downtown Berkeley. Start at the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and University Avenue. Head south on Shattuck Avenue until you reach the waterfront. Walk along the waterfront towards the San Francisco Bay, then take a ferry from the Berkeley Pier to San Francisco. Once you arrive at the Ferry Building, you can either take a MUNI bus #39 or walk approximately 1.5 miles to Coit Tower. The walk will take you through the scenic streets of San Francisco, and you can enjoy the views along the way.
