Bus
From downtown Berkeley, head to the nearest bus stop and take the AC Transit bus line 52 towards the Transbay Terminal. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at the 'Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center.' After getting off the bus, follow the signs to the Welcome Center located at Golden Gate Bridge Plaza.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Berkeley. Head west on University Avenue, then turn left onto San Pablo Avenue. Continue until you can merge onto the Bay Trail. Follow the Bay Trail north until it leads you to the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you arrive at the bridge, look for the signs directing you to the Welcome Center.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, you can start from the Berkeley campus. Head west on Bancroft Way, then turn right onto Telegraph Avenue. Continue until you reach the intersection with University Avenue. Turn left and walk along University Avenue until you reach the waterfront. From there, follow the path that leads to the Golden Gate Bridge. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
Rideshare
You can also use rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Simply open the app and set your destination to 'Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center.'
