From downtown Berkeley, head to the nearest bus stop at Shattuck Ave & University Ave. Take the AC Transit Bus 51 or 52 towards San Francisco. Get off at the bus stop at Geary Blvd & 6th Ave. From there, transfer to the Muni Bus 30, which will take you to the North Beach area. Get off at the stop at Lombard St & Columbus Ave, which is close to Joe DiMaggio Playground. Walk a short distance south on Columbus Ave, and then turn right onto Lombard St. The playground will be on your left at 651 Lombard St.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the bike-share stations in Berkeley. Start at the Berkeley Marina and head west on the bike path towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, cross over and continue along the bike path until you reach the city streets of San Francisco. Follow signs towards North Beach and Lombard St. Upon reaching Lombard St, you will find Joe DiMaggio Playground at 651 Lombard St. Ensure to follow local bike regulations for the best experience.

If you are in the North Berkeley neighborhood, start at the intersection of Shattuck Ave and Ashby Ave. Walk south on Shattuck Ave until you reach University Ave, then turn right. Continue walking on University Ave until you reach the bus stop and take AC Transit Bus 51 or 52 towards San Francisco, following the same directions as in the bus option. If you are closer to Telegraph Ave, walk down Telegraph Ave to University Ave, turn left, and follow the same bus route.
