Bus
From downtown Berkeley, head to the nearest bus stop for AC Transit. Take the 72 bus towards Mill Valley. The journey will take about 45 minutes. Get off at the 'Mill Valley/Throckmorton' stop. From there, transfer to the 61 bus towards 'Tamalpais/Throckmorton' and ride it until you reach the 'Panoramic Highway' stop. Mount Tamalpais State Park is a short walk from the bus stop.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from a local bike rental shop in Berkeley. Head towards the San Francisco Bay Trail and follow it north. Continue to the Golden Gate Bridge, then take the Marin Headlands route towards Mill Valley. This ride is approximately 12 miles and can take 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Once you reach Mill Valley, follow signs for Panoramic Highway, and Mount Tamalpais State Park will be on your right.
