From Berkeley, head to the nearest bus stop and take the AC Transit Bus Line 52 towards the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station. After about 30 minutes, get off at the El Cerrito del Norte BART Station. From there, take the BART train towards Richmond and get off at the Richmond Station. Transfer to the Sonoma County Transit bus route 38. Stay on the bus for approximately an hour, and get off at the stop closest to Roche Winery, which is located at 122 W Spain St in Sonoma.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Berkeley. Start by heading north on Shattuck Avenue until you reach University Avenue. Continue on University Avenue, which will turn into Marin Avenue. Follow Marin Avenue until you reach the intersection with the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue onto Sir Francis Drake Boulevard until it turns into Highway 12. Follow the signs to Sonoma, and Roche Winery will be on your right at 122 W Spain St.
