Figone's Olive Oil offers a taste of Sonoma's rich agricultural heritage. This family-operated business, located on the historic Sonoma Square, has been producing premium quality, estate-bottled extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars since 1989.
The Figone family's olive oil tradition began a century ago when Egildo Franceschi planted an olive tree sapling in the San Joaquin Valley in 1928. In 1974, his granddaughter Liana Giovannini Figone and her husband, Aldo, planted a grove of Mission and Manzanillo olive trees. Their son, Frank, later took over the family grove and began making olive oil in his great-grandfather's asparagus packing shed.
Today, Figone's offers a wide range of olive oils and balsamic vinegars, with complimentary tastings available daily. Visitors can sample various flavors, learn about the olive oil production process, and purchase unique gifts, including olive wood products, Italian ceramics, and bath and body products. Figone's is more than just a store; it's an experience that connects visitors to the history and flavors of Sonoma.
