From downtown Berkeley, head to the Downtown Berkeley BART Station located at 2140 Shattuck Ave. Take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the Embarcadero Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the ferry building and walk towards the waterfront. Continue walking along the Embarcadero until you reach Pier 35. The SS Jeremiah O'Brien will be located at this pier.

Take the AC Transit Bus 43 from the nearest bus stop to your location in Berkeley. You can catch the bus at various stops along University Ave. Ride the bus towards the Transbay Terminal in San Francisco. After about 30-40 minutes, get off at the 'Ferry Building' stop. From there, walk along the Embarcadero towards Pier 35. The museum is located at the end of the pier.
