Topanga State Park, nestled in the Santa Monica Mountains, is a sprawling natural oasis within the Los Angeles city limits. Encompassing 11,000 acres, it's known as the world's largest wildland within a major city, offering 36 miles of trails with panoramic views, diverse ecosystems, and geological formations.

Driving
The main entrance to Topanga State Park is at Trippet Ranch. From the Ventura Freeway (101), exit at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and drive south for 3 miles to Entrada Road, then turn left. From Pacific Coast Highway, travel north on Topanga Canyon Boulevard, turn right on Entrada Road, and follow it to the park entrance. Parking at Trippet Ranch costs $10 per day per vehicle, payable by cash at the gate. A reduced fee of $5 is available after 4 PM. Free parking is available along Entrada Road outside the park.
Public Transport
To reach Topanga State Park via public transport from Los Angeles, take the Metro E Line tram to Downtown Santa Monica Station. Transfer to the Line 134 bus towards Topanga Canyon, alighting at Pacific Coast Highway / Topanga Canyon. From Santa Monica, take the direct Line 134 bus to Pacific Coast Highway / Topanga Canyon. The bus fare is $2. From the bus stop, transfer to the limited bus service to Topanga Canyon Bl/Cuesta Cala Rd. From there, walk.5 miles north on Topanga Canyon Bl, turn right at Entrada Dr and walk one block to the trailhead.
