From Campbell, you can take the VTA bus line 22 towards San Jose. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location. Stay on the bus for about 35 minutes until you reach the 'San Jose Diridon Station.' Here, transfer to the Caltrain service. Take the Caltrain northbound towards San Francisco. Depending on the schedule, the train journey will take approximately 45 minutes. Get off at the 'Pescadero' station. Once you arrive, you will find yourself about 10 miles from Butano State Park. You may need to arrange for a rideshare service or check local shuttle options to reach the park entrance.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Campbell. Start by heading west on E Campbell Ave, then turn left onto S Bascom Ave. Continue north until you reach the intersection with Camden Ave. Turn right and follow Camden Ave until you reach the intersection with Highway 85. Here, you will need to navigate onto the bicycle paths that lead to Pescadero. The ride to Butano State Park is approximately 15 miles and will take about an hour, depending on your speed. Be sure to follow the bike lanes and local traffic rules.

Walking to Butano State Park from Campbell is quite a trek, but if you're up for it, head west on E Campbell Ave towards S Bascom Ave. Follow S Bascom Ave north until you reach Highway 85.
