Turn left onto San Carlos and continue walking until you reach the intersection with 7th Avenue. Turn right onto 7th Avenue and follow it until you reach the intersection with Mission Street. Continue straight onto Mission Street which will lead you towards the coast. Once you reach the coast, follow the shoreline southward until you arrive at Capitola. Esplanade Park is located at 120 Monterey Ave, right next to the beach.

From Carmel-by-the-Sea, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Ocean Avenue. Look for the Monterey-Salinas Transit bus line that travels to Capitola. Board the bus heading towards Capitola and stay on until you reach the stop closest to the Capitola Esplanade. Once you disembark, walk towards 120 Monterey Ave, which is a short distance away.
