Upon exiting the station, head northwest on 24th St towards Valencia St. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach Mission St. Turn right onto Mission St and walk for another 0.3 miles. Then turn left onto Balmy St. Balmy Alley will be on your left.

  • Public Transit - BART and Muni

    Start at Castro Valley BART station and take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Change trains at the Embarcadero station to the Muni Metro (T line) towards Chinatown. Get off at the 16th St Mission station. Exit the station and walk east on 16th St towards Valencia St. Turn left onto Valencia St, walk for about 0.3 miles and turn left onto Balmy St. Balmy Alley will be on your left.

  • Walking

    If you are staying in Castro Valley, you can take a long walk to Balmy Alley. Start from the Castro Valley BART station and head north on Castro Valley Blvd. Continue straight and turn right onto E. 14th St. Walk along E. 14th St until you reach the Hayward BART station. From there, take the BART train to 24th Street Mission station. Once you arrive, follow the directions from the previous guide.
