Walking
Start at the Castro Valley BART station. Exit the station and head south on Castro Valley Blvd. Turn right onto Redwood Rd, and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Lake Chabot Rd. Turn left onto Lake Chabot Rd. After about 0.5 miles, you'll see a trail entrance on your right; this leads to the Billy Goat Hill area. Follow the trail signs to reach the hilltop.

From Castro Valley BART station, take the AC Transit bus 31 towards Hayward. Ride for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop at Castro Valley Blvd and Redwood Rd.
