    Public Transit

    To reach Muir Beach from Castro Valley, you can take the AC Transit bus 30 from the Castro Valley BART station. Board the bus towards the Bay Fair BART station and get off at the Bay Fair BART station. From there, transfer to bus 38 and head towards the Marin City. Get off at the stop 'Muir Woods' and walk approximately 1 mile to Muir Beach. Follow the signs that lead you to the beach, which will be on your left.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Castro Valley. Start from the Castro Valley BART station and head northwest on Castro Valley Blvd. Continue biking towards Redwood Rd and then take the exit onto CA-1 N towards Muir Beach. Follow the designated bike lanes, and be cautious as some areas may have traffic. Once you approach Muir Beach, you'll find bike racks available near the beach entrance.

    Walking

    For those who enjoy walking, start at Castro Valley BART station. Walk north on Castro Valley Blvd until you reach the intersection with Redwood Rd. Continue walking on Redwood Rd, and after about 1.5 miles, you will reach the entrance to Muir Beach. The walk is approximately 4 miles and will take around 1.5 hours.
