To reach Ocean Beach in San Francisco from Castro Valley, start by walking to the Castro Valley BART station located at 3301 Norbridge Dr. Take the BART train towards Daly City. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Embarcadero station. Once you exit the BART, follow the signs to the Muni (light rail) station. Board the N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach. Stay on the N-Judah for about 30 minutes until you reach the 'Judah St & 48th Ave' stop, which is close to the beach entrance. From there, walk about 5 minutes west to reach the sandy shores of Ocean Beach.

From Castro Valley, head to the nearest bus stop located at Castro Valley Blvd & San Carlos Ave. Take the 33 bus towards Hayward, and get off at the Hayward BART station after about 10 minutes. From Hayward BART, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. After about 30 minutes, alight at the Embarcadero station. Transfer to Muni and take the N-Judah line towards Ocean Beach. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at 'Judah St & 48th Ave'. Walk 5 minutes west to arrive at Ocean Beach.
