    From Palm Springs, take I-10 East towards Blythe. Merge onto CA-62 East towards 29 Palms. Continue on CA-62 until you reach the junction with CA-177 North. Take CA-177 North towards Desert Hot Springs, then merge onto I-10 East again. Exit at CA-62 East and continue until you reach the junction with CA-95. Take CA-95 South towards Blythe. Finally, take the exit for Essex Road and follow the signs to Mitchell Caverns, located at 38200 Essex Rd, Essex, CA 92332. The entire drive takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes depending on traffic. Please note that there may be a fee for parking at the caverns.
