To reach Hsi Lai Temple from central Costa Mesa, take the OC Bus Route 57 towards Whittier. Board the bus at the Costa Mesa Transportation Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes until you reach the intersection of Gale Ave and Hacienda Blvd. From there, transfer to Route 4. After about a 10-minute ride, get off at the stop on Glenmark Dr, which is a short walk from the temple.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a nearby shop in Costa Mesa. Head north towards Santa Ana, following the Santa Ana River Trail until you reach the intersection with E. Orangethorpe Ave. Turn right and continue until you reach Hacienda Heights. Follow Glenmark Dr until you reach Hsi Lai Temple. The ride will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
