Ocean Beach: San Francisco's Scenic Escape

Getting There

• Bus

  From Daly City BART Station, take the 14 or 14R bus towards San Francisco. Get off at the 'California & 48th Avenue' stop. From there, walk west on California Street, then turn left onto the Great Highway. Continue walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Ocean Beach.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations available in Daly City. Head towards John Daly Boulevard and then take a left onto the Great Highway. Follow the Great Highway north, and you will arrive at Ocean Beach after approximately 30 minutes of cycling.

• Walking

  If you are up for a walk, start from the Daly City BART Station and head north on Mission Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with John Daly Boulevard, where you will take a right. Follow John Daly Boulevard until it merges into the Great Highway. Walk along the Great Highway for about 1.5 miles, and you will arrive at Ocean Beach.

• Rideshare

  You can use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Simply input 'Ocean Beach, San Francisco, CA' as your destination. The drivers are familiar with the area and should be able to take you directly to the beach. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
