Car

If you are driving from Oakland, take I-880 N towards San Francisco. Merge onto I-580 W and follow signs for the Bay Bridge. Once over the bridge, stay in the right lane to merge onto I-80 W. Take the exit for the Embarcadero and follow signs for the Folsom St exit. Continue on Folsom St, then turn left onto 4th St. Turn right onto Howard St, and then left onto The Embarcadero. Continue along The Embarcadero until you reach Bay St, then turn left. Finally, turn right onto Filbert St, and you will find the Filbert Steps at 202 Filbert St.
Public Transportation

From downtown Oakland, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Montgomery St station. Exit the station and walk towards the Embarcadero. From there, you can take the Muni 39 Coit bus towards Bay St & Mason St. Get off at the Bay St & Stockton St stop. Walk west on Bay St, then turn left onto Filbert St. The Filbert Steps will be on your left at 202 Filbert St.
