    If you are driving, take I-880 N from anywhere in East Bay. Exit at 35th Ave and turn left onto Golf Links Rd. Continue on Golf Links Rd for about 1.5 miles until you reach the Oakland Zoo at 9777 Golf Links Rd, Oakland, CA 94605. Look for the parking lot entrance on your left.

  • Public Transportation

    To visit the Oakland Zoo using public transportation, take BART to the Coliseum station. From there, transfer to the AC Transit Bus 73, which will take you directly to the Oakland Zoo. The bus stops right outside the entrance. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for the most accurate times.

  • Car

    If you're coming from downtown Oakland, take 14th St heading east and merge onto I-580 E. Exit at 35th Ave, turn right onto Golf Links Rd, and follow it for about 1.5 miles to the Oakland Zoo. The entrance will be on your left.

    From the Rockridge BART station, take the AC Transit Bus 51A towards the Coliseum. Get off at the stop for 35th Ave & Golf Links Rd. From there, it's a short walk to the zoo entrance, which is about a 10-minute walk.
