    If you're driving from the East Bay, take I-80 W towards San Francisco. Merge onto I-580 W and continue on it until you reach the exit for the Bay Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue on I-80 W. Take the exit for Fremont St and follow signs for Embarcadero. Turn left onto Embarcadero, then turn right onto Bay St. Follow Bay St until you reach the intersection with Columbus Ave. Turn left onto Columbus Ave, which will turn into Montgomery St. Continue on Montgomery St, then turn right onto Telegraph Hill Blvd. Coit Tower will be on your left at 1 Telegraph Hill Blvd, San Francisco, CA 94133. Note that parking is limited around Coit Tower, so consider arriving early or using street parking if available.

  • Public Transportation (BART + Bus)

    Take BART from any station in the East Bay to the Embarcadero station in San Francisco. From Embarcadero, transfer to the Muni bus. Catch the 39 Coit bus towards Bay and Taylor. Ride the bus until you reach the stop at the base of Coit Tower. You will need to walk uphill from the bus stop to reach the tower itself. Be aware that the bus fare is around $2.50, and you may need a Clipper card for easy payment.

  • Public Transportation (BART + Cable Car)

    Take BART from any East Bay station to the Montgomery St station in San Francisco. From Montgomery St, walk to the Powell St Cable Car station. Board the Powell-Hyde cable car and enjoy a scenic ride towards Fisherman’s Wharf. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Bay St and Hyde St. From there, you will have to walk up the steep hill to reach Coit Tower, which is about a 15-minute uphill walk.
