From Half Moon Bay, head north on Highway 1 for approximately 9.5 miles. The parking lot for Gray Whale Cove State Beach is on the east side of the highway. Note that crossing the highway to the beach can be dangerous due to traffic. Parking is free.

From Half Moon Bay, take the SamTrans Route 117 bus towards Pacifica. The bus stops near Devil's Slide Tunnel, an 11-minute walk to the beach. A single ride on SamTrans costs $2.50.

If you are near the Devil's Slide Trail, Gray Whale Cove State Beach is a short walk south along Highway 1. Exercise extreme caution as there are no crosswalks. The walk is approximately 1 mile and should take about 20 minutes.
