Public Transport
From your current location in Huntington Beach, walk to the nearest bus stop and take the OCTA Bus Route 1 towards Long Beach. Get off at the bus stop at Pacific Coast Highway and 6th Street. From there, transfer to the Long Beach Transit Blue Line Light Rail and head towards Long Beach Transit Mall. Once there, walk to the Long Beach ferry terminal and board the Catalina Express ferry to Avalon, CA. Upon arrival at Avalon, walk towards Island Tour Plaza, which is located at 209 Catalina Ave. It should take about 10 minutes to reach your destination.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Huntington Beach. Head north on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Follow PCH towards Long Beach, which will bring you close to the Long Beach ferry terminal. Park your bike securely at the terminal and take the Catalina Express ferry to Avalon. After arriving in Avalon, walk towards Island Tour Plaza at 209 Catalina Ave, which is approximately a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
Walking
If you are located near the Huntington Beach Pier, walk to Pacific Coast Highway and head south. Continue along the PCH until you reach the Long Beach ferry terminal. It’s quite a distance, so plan for a long walk. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the Catalina Express ferry to Avalon. After the ferry ride, disembark in Avalon and walk to Island Tour Plaza located at 209 Catalina Ave, which is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry landing.
