Getting There

  • Walking

    From Downtown Huntington Beach, start at the intersection of Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Head north on Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Goldenwest Street. Turn right (east) onto Goldenwest Street and continue for approximately 1 mile. Shipley Nature Center will be on your left at 17851 Goldenwest St. The walk should take around 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can take a more scenic route to Shipley Nature Center. Start at Main Street and head north towards PCH. Once you reach PCH, turn left (north) and ride along the bike lane for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Goldenwest Street and continue for another 0.5 miles. The nature center will be on your left. This ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes.

    To use public transportation, start by walking to the nearest bus stop on Main Street and Pacific Coast Highway. Catch the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) Bus 1 heading north. Get off at the stop at Goldenwest St and McFadden Ave. From there, walk south on Goldenwest Street for about 0.3 miles, and Shipley Nature Center will be on your right at 17851 Goldenwest St. The bus fare is approximately $2.00 one way.
