Getting There

Public Bus
To get to Newport Beach from central Irvine, start at the Irvine Transportation Center. Board the OCTA Bus Route 79 towards Newport Beach. The bus will take you along Jamboree Road and eventually to West Coast Highway. Make sure to get off at the stop closest to Newport Beach. The ride takes about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off, follow the signs towards the beach, which is just a short walk away.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Irvine. Head towards the San Diego Creek Trail, which connects to the bike paths leading directly to Newport Beach. Follow the trail until you reach the Pacific Coast Highway, then head south until you reach the beach. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes, depending on your speed.

If you are up for a long walk, start from the Irvine Spectrum Center. Head south on Alton Parkway until you reach Jamboree Road. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pacific Coast Highway. Cross the highway carefully and continue straight towards Newport Beach. This walk is approximately 5 miles and will take about 1.5 to 2 hours.
