Getting There

  • Walking

    From the main area of Joshua Tree, head south on Highway 62 (Twentynine Palms Highway). Walk for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Continue walking into the park until you reach the intersection with Park Boulevard. Turn left onto Park Boulevard and continue for about 3 miles. You will see the Maze Loop Trailhead on your right side. The trailhead is well-marked, and you can access the trail directly from there.

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from the center of Joshua Tree. Ride south on Highway 62 for about 1 mile, then turn left onto the entrance road for Joshua Tree National Park. Continue cycling into the park and follow the signs to Park Boulevard. Turn left on Park Boulevard and bike for approximately 3 miles. The Maze Loop Trailhead will be on your right side. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear a helmet!

    Take the public bus service from the Joshua Tree area to the nearest stop at the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. From there, exit the bus and walk into the park entrance. Continue along the road towards Park Boulevard, which is about 1 mile away. Once you reach Park Boulevard, turn left and walk for another 3 miles.
